Scroll down to Step 1 under the Admitted Student Checklist section and click “Sign in to FlashLine.” You will need the following two items: 

1. Your �鶹��ѡemail address 

2. Your �鶹��ѡID number 

You can find your KSU email address in the email sent to you shortly after admission, with the subject line “Your FlashLine Credentials.”  

Your KSU ID number is available in the Admitted Student Checklist section of your admissions portal.  

Can’t see your ID number? Click New Decision Letter first to display your next steps. 

Once you establish your account, be sure to check your personal and �鶹��ѡemail regularly. 

Find important dates and deadlines on the Financial, Billing and Enrollment website. 

Check your email regularly for campus-specific dates and deadlines related to course registration. 

Spring 2027 admits 

• Oct. 2025: Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) opened 

• Jan. 19, 2027: First day of classes 

• Feb. 1, 2027: priority scholarship deadline for most �鶹��ѡscholarships in ScholarshipUniverse 

Fall 2027 admits 

• Oct. 2026: Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) opens 

• Jan. 15, 2027: Deadline to submit the FAFSA to qualify for Kent State’s best financial aid offer 

• Feb. 1: priority scholarship application deadline for most �鶹��ѡscholarships in ScholarshipUniverse 

• Aug. 23, 2027: First day of classes 

The 2027-28 ) opens Oct. 1, 2026, for summer and fall 2027 admits. 

Spring admits should complete the 2026-27 FAFSA. 

This is one of the most important applications of your college careers. 

ScholarshipUniverse is your hub for finding and applying for scholarships. 

It is a search portal that matches you to internal (Kent State-specific) and external scholarships. 

The priority scholarship application deadline for most �鶹��ѡscholarships is Feb. 1, 2027. Some may have later deadlines.  

External scholarship deadlines vary.  

Be sure to check your email regularly for updates. 

First-year students (Spring and Fall) 

Register for New Student Orientation, where you will meet with an academic advisor to schedule classes. 

Spring 2027 dates open Oct. 1, and Summer/Fall 2027 dates open Feb. 1. You’ll receive a personalized link by email. 

First-year students (Summer only) 

Make an academic advising appointment on KSU Navigate using your FlashLine username and password. 

Transfer students and post-undergraduate students 

Make an academic advising appointment on KSU Navigate using your FlashLine username and password.

KSUview 

KSUview is an easy and safe way to share your student information, such as financial aid, contact information, registration status and schedule and your student account (detail, summary, tax notification and holds) with parents, guardians or family members. 

This could be helpful if your parents, guardians or family members will help you with financial aid or need information about account balances. 

To set up KSUview access, visit the Financial, Bililng and Enrollment website, and follow the instructions. You can also watch a tutorial video. 

FERPA Release 

The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA) is a federal law governing the privacy of student records, including the disclosure and access of those records.  

�鶹��ѡis not permitted by FERPA to release or provide access to this information to a parent or guardian unless you give consent. 

Access the Student Record Policy (FERPA) release forms on your Student / Resources / Requests and Authorizations Section in . 

Summer/Fall 2027 admits  

You will receive your financial aid offer by email with instructions on how to accept, modify or view your financial aid award (including federal and state aid and university scholarships) in FlashLine in mid-to-late February 2027. 

Spring 2027 admits  

You will receive your financial aid by email offer shortly after admission. 

Review the financial aid next steps checklist for detailed steps to stay on track with your financial aid and scholarships for the upcoming semester. 

First-year students 

• Ask your school counselor to send your final high school transcript with your graduation date. This is required to start classes at �鶹��ѡand to receive financial aid. 

• To earn credit for college courses taken during high school, request an official transcript directly from the college or university and have it sent directly to Kent State. 

• If you took Advanced Placement (AP) or International Baccalaureate (IB) exams, request your test scores directly from the testing agency and have them sent to �鶹��ѡ. 

Transfer students 

• Request official transcripts directly from the college or university and have them sent directly to Kent State. 

• If your transcript shows in-progress work, you will be asked to submit a final transcript once grades have posted. 

How to send transcripts 

Electronic (preferred) 

• Electronic transcripts through services such as Common App, Parchment or Slate.org. 

• Email from a school official using their school email account to transcripts@kent.edu. 

Mail 

Schools may also send transcripts by mail in a sealed envelope to:

Please note: we cannot accept transcripts from students. Homeschool applicants should follow these instructions. 

There are two full-service bookstore locations at Kent State: 

• Regional Campus Bookstore at the Stark Campus in North Canton 

•  at the Kent Campus 

You can purchase or rent textbooks and course materials, order spirit apparel, supplies, technology and other student essentials through the bookstore website, powered by Barnes & Noble. Items can be shipped to you for a fee.

FLASHcard 

First-year students (Spring and Summer) 

You will receive your FLASHcard and parking pass at New Student Orientation. 

All other students 

Stop by the Student Services Office in Main Hall, Room 132, during the first week of classes to get your FLASHcard.  

Be sure to bring a state-issued photo ID with you. 

If you are a 100%-online student who cannot pick up your FLASHcard at a �鶹��ѡcampus, you can complete the FLASHcard Distance Learning Application available on the FLASHcard website. 

Parking pass 

Parking is free at all Regional Campuses! 

Stark Campus students only: You are required to register your vehicle before receiving a parking hang tag.
