Profile
Dr. Cimino's primary research focus is aversive initiation practices (hazing). He studies the causes and consequences of hazing, integrating experimental and ethnographic methodologies. Dr. Cimino is also broadly interested in the creation and maintenance of secret societies, the treatment of group newcomers, and the underlying psychology that allows groups to endure over time.
