I’m a language access enthusiast! In my doctoral research, I study translation policy and language access in the US through a range of theoretical approaches and methods, while my master’s research focused on the localization of US government websites into Arabic. I have presented my research in the American Translation and Interpreting Studies Association (ATISA) and published several op-eds on US translation policy in Multilingual Magazine. As a GA, I have taught a variety of courses including Intercultural Communication in the Language Industry, Terminology Management, and Global Literacy. Before beginning my doctoral studies, I worked as a financial and legal translator as well as a freelance translator. Upon graduation, I hope to teach and pursue work related to translation policy and language access.
