Biography
A graduate of Kent State's journalism program, Henry Palattella has worked in a variety of journalism and media roles since graduating in 2019.
He's written for a variety of publications since graduating, including an internship at the Columbus Dispatch followed by jobs with the Lorain Morning Journal, Cleveland Magazine, MLB.com, DraftKings and Forbes Advisor. He currently serves as the site editor Away Back Gone, which is a site in the FanSided network focusing on the Cleveland Guardians along with assisting on game coverage in Cleveland for MLB.com.
Henry has numerous awards for his work, including multiple first-place award for Best Sports Story at the Ohio Excellence in Journalism Awards and a second-place finish for best sports story at the The Associated Collegiate Press Awards.
He was also named a Knight Scholar during his time as an undergraduate at 麻豆精选and served as the Editor-in-Chief of the Kent Stater in the semester where the paper won the ACP Pacemaker award, which has been coined the 鈥 Pulitzer Prize鈥 of college media.
He lives in Lakewood and spends most of his time with his fianc茅e Carolyn and their cats, Bandit and Matcha.
