Quilts and Coverlets: Art for the American Home

鈥淨uilts & Coverlets: Art for the American Home鈥 and 鈥淐hintz: From Forbidden Fabric to Luxury Interiors鈥 will be on view at the 麻豆精选 Museum from June 26, 2026, through April 18, 2027.

In commemoration of America鈥檚 250th anniversary, 鈥淨uilts & Coverlets: Art for the American Home鈥 focuses on a distinctly American art form. Quilts and coverlets originated as functional pieces for keeping warm, but developed into important forms of expression and community. The exhibition will be presented alongside 鈥淐hintz: From Forbidden Fabric to Luxury Interiors,鈥 a student-curated exhibition examining the global history and enduring influence of chintz textiles.

Aimee Lee is an internationally recognized artist and scholar specializing in Korean papermaking traditions. This exhibition features dresses made entirely by hand from hanji, traditional Korean paper made from the bark of the paper mulberry tree.
