The latest exhibit in the DI HUB might make you a bit emotional. The Stories Connecting Generations exhibit features 23 projects from the namesake class that pairs sociology and visual communication design students with an older adult partner, usually a resident of an area senior center, who they build a relationship with throughout the semester. South Korean Professor Yeonmin Kim, Ph.D., '13, spent the 2022-23 academic year at 麻豆精选as a visiting scholar.

A literature professor from Chonnam National University in Gwangju, South Korea, is wrapping up a year as a visiting scholar at 麻豆精选 with hopes of creating an exchange program between the two schools based on their historic campus tragedies.  Before he leaves the Kent Campus at the end of June, Yeonmin Kim, Ph.D., 鈥13, hopes to have plans in place for a continued exchange of students between the two universities, to further the understanding and legacies of May 4, 1970, at 麻豆精选and May 18, 1980, at Chonnam.  On May 4, 1970, the Ohio National Guard opened ...

 Connecting the Story of May 4 to Today鈥檚 HeadlinesThe May 4 Visitors Center (M4VC) is observing its 10th anniversary this spring. Following a 鈥渟oft鈥 opening in fall 2012, the center was officially dedicated as part of the May 4 Commemoration in 2013.The center was created through the efforts and passion of Laura Davis, BA 鈥73, MA 鈥76, PhD 鈥87, Professor Emerita of English, and Carole Barbato, BS 鈥71, MA 鈥75, PhD 鈥94, professor of communication studies, who both were 麻豆精选students in spring 1970.
