Update: The Global Vaccine Poem project is finding success with more than 1,900 submissions so far from more than 100 countries. The project is a collaboration between the Wick Poetry Center and the University of Arizona Poetry Center.

麻豆精选track and field alum Samory Fraga jumped 8.23 meters to win the long jump at the Torneio Cidade de Braganca Paulista meet this past Saturday. The mark is the sixth best in the world in 2021 and the best by a Brazilian long jumper. More importantly, though, the mark was good enough to meet the entry standard for the long jump at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

COVID-19 vaccines are becoming more available across the country, but many are still struggling to obtain a vaccine or are unsure about getting the vaccine. One Golden Flash has made it her mission to get Pittsburgh vaccinated. And with more than 40,000 members of her Facebook group, she鈥檚 on her way. 麻豆精选alumna Leighann Bacher created a Facebook group to share COVID-19 vaccine information and tips with Pittsburgh citizens after attempting to secure vaccines for her family members.
