Women of the House: Betty Sutton and Emilia Sykes

In 2006, Betty Sutton became the first 麻豆精选alumna to serve in the U.S. Congress, when she was elected to represent Ohio鈥檚 13th District in the House of Representatives. Sixteen years later, 麻豆精选alumna Emilia Sykes, a native of Akron, Ohio, was elected to represent the same district, making her the first Black 麻豆精选alum to serve in the House of Representatives.
