University leaders recognize student employees and supervisors for their contributions to campus culture and professional development during Student Employee Appreciation Week

麻豆精选 celebrates outstanding student employees and supervisors during National Student Employment Week, recognizing their impact across campus through the annual Student Employee Awards Celebration.

鈥淭hese awards reflect the student鈥檚 accomplishments, impact in their workplace and career readiness developed through their student employment experience, making the award a great resume builder and talking point in future job interviews,鈥 Ally McClain, academic program officer in Career and Exploration and Development, told 麻豆精选Today

Career Exploration and Development is dedicated to educating students in career readiness; student employment reflects this by preparing students for their future.

鈥溌槎咕 has many exceptional student employees across all campuses, and Student Employee Appreciation Week is a time to recognize their impact and efforts,鈥 McClain said.

The 2026 Student Employee Award winners are:

The Flashes GROW Award recognizes supervisors and department supervisors who are dedicated to preparing students for their careers and are trained through the Flashes GROW Program.

For the Flashes GROW award, two awardees were recognized, one individual and one department.

鈥淚t is difficult to compare the efforts of one individual supervisor to a department of many supervisors, as some individuals supervise a few student employees while a team of supervisors in another department may supervise over one hundred student employees,鈥 McClain said. 鈥淔or this reason, the committee decided to recognize two Awardees this year, one individual and one department, as the accomplishments of both are impactful.鈥

Disney Maxwell
Disney Maxwell received recognition for the Flashes GROW Award, creating meaningful learning experiences in Digital Enterprise Solutions, mentoring students through one-on-one meetings, group sessions and the Digital Leadership Academy, fostering reflection, professional growth, career readiness and the ability to connect skills across academic and workplace contexts.
Academic Success Center staff
The Academic Success Center received the Flashes GROW Award for its supportive, student-centered approach, fostering confidence, growth and professional success. Through leadership opportunities, trainings, personalized check-ins and reflective discussions, supervisors help students build transferable skills and connect work to academics and career goals.

鈥溌槎咕 employs thousands of student employees each academic year,鈥 McClain said. 鈥淪tudent employees are an integral part of university operations and an important part of the 麻豆精选community.鈥

These awardees are recognized for their exceptional contribution to 麻豆精选.
